Helsinki Syndrome

Trump Putin

More from the CNN Has Lost Its Mind category; network is claiming the Trump White House altered a transcript from the Helsinki Summit. What’s hysterical is that the way it is altered it reads like an admission of guilt from Russian President Vladimir Putin on election meddling. Q: Did you direct any of your officials to help him out? A: Yes, I did. Yes I did.

So in this alternate universe we have a question asked about the election meddling and Putin admitting it. That sounds like something the White House would put in their transcript, doesn’t it?  Just lay down your sword in front of Robert Mueller and admit to the whole Collusion thing? Complete sense.

But that’s not what CNN is running with; they’re going with White House censorship. (Because if they really believe he is admitting to Russian Collusion the network would have a stroke.)  A quick Google search reveals that numerous transcripts can be found, some with the full question from the Reuters reporter, some without.   Catching the differences – namely, how this particular question is written – can reveal the source used (everything is copy). If a readout only has half of this question you know it is the Russian version.

According to THE ATLANTIC the first transcript was from Russia with love, and the question was altered in their version. (Altered in that they did not include the entire question asked by the reporter.)  I know how transcripts are produced and the White House probably just copied it and put it up on their website (why do it all over again?). Further, the article goes on to state that various other news outlets have different and varying scripts of the conference – also something I can tell you happens often.

Bottom line is I don’t think the White House produced their own transcript but instead copied the Russian version. And it is funny they used this version with only half of the question.

Q And did you direct any of your officials to help him do that?

PRESIDENT PUTIN: (As interpreted.) Yes, I did. Yes, I did. Because he talked about bringing the U.S.-Russia relationship back to normal.

Now that I read it again, that is really funny. Yes, we helped Trump win because he wanted a better relationship with our country.   From Gucifer 2.0, to Glasnost 2.0. Outstanding progress.

Here is how the question and answer reads from VOX — and this is the question I heard while watching the Summit conference live.   I had no trouble hearing Reuters reporter Jeff Mason’s question:

REPORTER (Jeff Mason from Reuters): President Putin, did you want President Trump to win the election and did you direct any of your officials to help him do that?

PUTIN: Yes, I did. Yes, I did. Because he talked about bringing the US/Russia relationship back to normal.

I’m thinking the Ruskies did this on purpose; they are famous for their dark sense of humor stemming from their dark sense of remorse for having been born in Russia.  What better way to fire up the Liberal base in America than making it look like Putin completely meddled in the US 2016 election and is loud and proud about it?

But where is the transcript from what Trump and Putin said behind closed doors during their 2 hour meeting?

Well at least that nonsense has been pushed off the front page.  Really – When in the history of geopolitics has the press or the lowly proletariat ever been inside the room with two world leaders?

Do we know what Reagan and Gorbachev said at Reykjavik?   Do we have a ‘readout’ on what President Barrack Obama said to Putin in the hotel lobby at the G8 Summit in 2016? Which was during the 2016 election remember.   No, we don’t, you greedy children.  All we have from the Obama rendezvous is him telling us he said, “Knock it off.”  Strong words my friend, and since we’re a year and a half into the Mueller investigation can we agree that didn’t work? Thanks, Obama.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders had to field variations of this question all week from every reporter in the Press Pool.  Why don’t we know what was said! What if they were planning how to meddle in the 2020 election! Why were they the only people in the room, you left Donald Trump unattended! Never do that, ever!

Let’s see, why isn’t the media allowed to know what was said between the presidents of a world superpower and a second-rate oligarchy? Because…because you’re idiots? Yeah that fits, because you’re idiots and I can imagine the lunacy that would ensue if CNN and MSNBC got ahold of a private readout.

Rachel Madow, “See right here it reads, President Trump asks Putin if he wants a glass of water. There it is folks – he’s Putin’s puppet. (Not a puppet.)

Anderson Cooper, “What a disgrace.”

‘Everything looks worse in black and white,’ doesn’t it Paul Simon.

Well folks it doesn’t end here. Today Mike Pompeo is on the Hill to speak before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.  Every single headline reads: “POMPEO FACES GRILLING BY US SENATE OVER TRUMP-PUTIN MEETING.” NBC turned “An Update on American Diplomacy to Advance our National Security Strategy,” into “U.S. senators to grill Mike Pompeo on what happened in closed-door Trump-Putin meeting.”

This should be excruciating.   What’s he going to say? He wasn’t in the room!  Although I am excited to see how angry Democrats will be when asking why Trump insisted on meeting Putin alone with only two translators as silent witnesses.  (Don’t you think if anything bad happened it would have been leaked by now? The White House leaks like sieve, and anything Putin can use as propaganda would be front page on Pravda daily.)

To be continued…until Vladimir Putin comes to Washington DC on an invitation from President Trump. Don’t let him into the War Room, there’s maps in there! And the Big Board!
