Fri Aug 11:   I’m going to say; This NoKo action could be a way to test or expose US missile defense system (THAAD). China may be using Pyongyang as a proxy provocateur to see what the US is capable of defensively, and observe how we respond; watch the Navy and Air Force tactics to get a clue about our Asia-Pacific strategy. How far we can be pushed and where the line is drawn. This is all very valuable priceless information to know and can then allow China to determine how they will proceed in their “Island Building” in sea endeavor.

To gain insight into a foreign states military strategy you can spy, or provoke, or observe. Clever if China is using NOKO to provoke so they can observe.

Sun Jul 30:  North Korea –   Not sure I want to see China take military measures against the No. Korean regime.   Diplomatic? Yes. Military action…? Not so much. We have never seen Chinese military capabilities on display and I’m sure that’s their long term strategy –  all this time they’ve never upped the ante, just watched the world raise and call. When you have a player like that, do you really want them to go ‘all-in’ all of a sudden?

Any US military reaction to North Korea will not be well-received; I mean, has US intervention during peace time ever been applauded at the United Nations?

I know. Who cares about the UN.  Well, the rest of the world does.

So i don’t see any negotiations getting started regarding NOKO, shouldn’t that be the first step taken before CNN, FOX, and US Congressmen and Congresswomen start talking about a military reaction?  Did I oversleep? Why is the phrase “a strike at the time and place of our choosing” even being spoken?
