Seriously CNN? North Korean Summit

Can we take anything CNN says seriously anymore?  This pre- detente between America and The People’s Republic of North Korea has them throwing fits. It took CNN no less than a minute after the announcement was made from the White House for a panel of CNN nitwits to just start ripping on President Trump.     They couldn’t give us one single minute to process and perhaps enjoy a moment when Kim Jong-Un took his finger off the button to pen a letter to Donald Trump and the people of the United States.

And don’t be fooled, despite what they may say, this is all because Donald Trump is in the Oval Office that CNN just can’t stand it.   I can’t think of another person CNN hates more that they would ridicule for hours after the impossible happened right when we least expected it. Alex Jones or Breitbart forcing negociations with North Korea? Nah, not even close – they would be comparatively thrilled if Info Wars broke down the barriers between us through an intricate reciprocal trade deal involving vitamins and supplements.

And don’t be fooled, despite what you may hear, this is all because Donald Trump is in the Oval Office.  Score one for the old Dotard In Chief. He looked right into the camera and said to Kim, “Go ahead – I dare you. See what happens.”  Twice. And Trump doesn’t even drink!

“North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States,” Trump told reporters from the clubhouse of his golf course in Bedminster, N.J. “They will be met with fire and the fury like the world has never seen.” ~August 8, 2017

That was one of the greatest hold my beer moments of any American presidency, and everyone thought we were going to die the next day.  But just the opposite happened. Kim shut up for once; for awhile anyway. Then the NoKos started lighting off nukes again over the Korean peninsula – over Japan, into outer space, through their legs.  And the President responded with crippling economic sanctions.

Now when all this was going on CNN perpetuated the President’s Cabinet Is In Chaos theory.  He was fighting with his Secretary of State, firing people left and right, anyone not being fired was being indicted. Meanwhile in the DPRK, Kim Jong-Un was sitting still, hiding in his room, not making a peep;  too afraid to even call Dennis Rodman. Collect. (Or they may have a family plan, I don’t know.)

But Kim did eventually call someone: South Korea. On the hotline phone that South Korea thought was disconnected 13 years ago.  And he didn’t just call to get tickets to the Olympics for his sister; he wanted to deal. They sent a contingent of athletes to the Games; they invited the South Koreans to Pyongyang; they stopped testing missiles; all unexpected developments.

Throughout this CNN was questioning the effectiveness of new sanctions. Economic penalties never worked before, why would they now?  What they didn’t tell you is that these new 2018 sanctions were on top off all the other sanctions the world imposed on North Korea in the past.  The other angle of attack was China. China would never go along with more economic sanctions, they don’t want to see regime change, they don’t want a united Korea, and they certainly don’t want refugees streaming across their border.

Wait, what?

CNN is not in favor of refugees crossing the border into China? Huh? What’s wrong with illegal immigrants, CNN? Especially ones escaping cruel and unusual poverty to pursue their dreams in a land with a booming economy.  Surely you jest, CNN.

I wonder how Arizona feels about this double-standard? I don’t know if hypocritical is a strong enough word. Illegals in China: Not OK. Illegals in America: Well, come on in! You can stay in the Mayor of Oakland’s house. Bienvenido muchachos!

Ole.

Watching Anderson Cooper defending China’s northern border from illegals was just mind-bending. Moreso because the next story CNN runs is on the ICE raids that are happening (or trying to happen) in California. CNN guests have called Immigration Enforcement officers the Gestapo. And the Mayor of Oakland and the Governor are calling everyone in the Administration racists, all while turning California into a Boarder State.

Just so we’re clear CNN, immigrants in China are bad (for China). A crazy man in charge of a failing regime that threatens death and destruction to the United States every month, that’s OK – as long as he is not threatening China.  And China does not want a united Korea because it will upset the ‘stability of the Korean peninsula.’

So can President Trump even have these denuclearization talks with Kim Jong-Un? Because it sounds like the outcome will be bad – for China. Should we cancel the summit now before they set a date? And I can just go back to accepting my role as a living target for a Hwasong nuclear missile?

Yeah, I’m so not cool with that, CNN. I’m sorry no US President since Harry Truman has been able to get through to the Hermit Kingdom and get them off our backs. But President Donald Trump – with all of his fire and fury bluster – did.  Just let us relax a little and see what happens. You can keep calling it bizarre, give all the credit to South Korea if you want to; just stop trying to torpedo the deal before they even start talking. Because our lives may be at stake here. And if I even smell rocket fuel wafting from North Korea, I’m blaming you, CNN.

The Takeaways

  •  “First generation builds it, Second generation grows it, Third generation blows it.” Maxim of legacy building.
  • CNN wary of illegal refugees streaming across the northern border of China.
  • California quickly becoming a Boarder State, happily housing illegal aliens.
  • President Trump’s tactic of meeting verbal threats with verbal force seems to have worked.
  • Where should they meet and hold the denuclearization talks? Wake Island, Midway Island, a USS Aircraft Carrier.
  • Fire & Fury: One of the great Hold My Beer moments of this Administration.
