The Comey Letter.

I don’t think CNN is going to make it through the week given the reaction to the President’s firing of FBI director Jimmy Comey. But we’ve seen this before after Donald Trump does something to send them into the stratosphere; yet they always seem to pick up the pieces and put them back together in some semblance of what they call a “news network.”

Last night Blitzy, Erin, Coop, and legal analyst Jeffrey “Toobs” Tobin each had grand mal conniption fits on air (thank God the news broke after Jake Tapper signed off for the night he probably would have shot himself in the leg). Each of them conveniently inserted opinions for fact in order to push their narrative slant. This “network” isn’t even attempting to hide their disdain for the president anymore, its hosts just yell “Unprecedented!” at everyone.
Comey just can’t catch a break. For months everyone wanted him fired; he was fired; now everyone wants him back? Or, not fired?

Duh

There is a lot a blame to go around from politicians to the media, who are doing their darnedest to just keep everybody confused. It’s an attempt to prevent people from forming their own opinions, which, admittedly people do not want to do. But it still should be an option should you choose, or when there is no access to Facebook.

I love how everyone who has appeared before a Congressional committee said that there is no investigation of Donald Trump with regard to the Russia election probe [Ed. Note: Article written May 10, 2017]. Yet 30 seconds after Comey was relegated back to the private sector he became a martyr for the left. “He just fired the guy who was investigating him!!” What now? Since when was Donald Trump being investigated for anything – like “rigging the election,” as CNN’s Erin Burnett put it. Lunatic. (CNN just flashed all of the faces of their news anchors on screen; looked like a poster of the most dangerous ward at Bellevue Hospital.) For I have it on very good authority – very, very good, believe me – that Donald Trump is not under investigation. In fact, Comey told him so three times.

This actually makes me more comfortable with the ordeal – it drives the left nuts, and that is usually a solid indication that rational objective logic is in play. Isn’t “Ask Me Anything” Jim Comey not supposed to answer that question? He wouldn’t answer Congress.

“Jimmy! Good to see ya. Hey am I under investigation? Ahhh-haa-haa, trick question I know you can’t answer that. I was just testing ya. (But seriously, am I?)” Now if he flunked that test thrice then maybe he deserved a good downsizing. Get someone in the FBI with a proper sense of decorum.

Isn’t that what we all wanted anyways? Do the ends ever justify the means when someone not named Obama starts it? Hillary Clinton schills like Robbie Mook, Chuckie Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid all wanted Jimmy’s head on a pike back in October. Now that a good facsimile of it is hanging on Trump’s trophy wall in the Oval Office, suddenly this isn’t such a good idea? And turns into the Saturday Night Massacre redeaux? Kidding me people, get a hold of yourselves, for the sake of our country. Do one big giant trustfall and head back to Starbucks.

And please, before you do that, no talking about the Saturday Night Massacre unless you actually know what it is. Because if you do it would never come up in this context. It can’t be applied to just any one person getting fired, that’s not a massacre nor was it a Saturday. Richard Nixon fired the US Attorney General who was actively investigating him and then a whole bunch of other people resigned or refused the position in solidarity with Archibald Cox. I don’t even have an obverse sentence for the above, I think that pretty much said it all.
I don’t see anyone falling on their swords for Comey here. The Democrats will probably get their independent prosecutor for the Russia Hacks – but now they will need another special prosecutor to investigate the James Comey firing, too, right? Only makes sense.

Which leads me to this: Nothing makes sense. And how nonsense became acceptable means of communication to the masses, and journalism, escapes me. People depend on CNN, The Daily Show, and John Oliver to get the facts straight and the good people of Facebook deserve some reasonable thought without the yelling and screaming and misappropriation of the truth. How did we end up here? (I can tell you where it lead to: President Donald J Trump!)
